Quality Tech Support

After numerous decades working with various networking hardware from multiple vendors, Adtran still provides good quality hardware for a very reasonable price. Their tech-support is still superb too. Recently I had to use Microsoft professional services and they too try hard to provide good service. Their professional services people assist remotely to solve the current issue. Although working on Microsoft products for many year as a given, until recently I haven't had the experience of using their tech-support. Microsoft's tech-support uses EasyAssist. It is a remote control for support product I admire and found easy to use. Their tech-support most often connect to desktops or servers remotely to provide remote assistance.

All major desktop and server manufacturers provide similar support with softare for remote control and remote support through the web. We based remote support is provided to both end-users and administrators of server and desktop systems. HArdware manufacturers provide support services. Companies like Dell, HP (server, laptop, desktop, and printer), IBM, BlackBox, Cisco, etc.. Over the years I have found that one of the consistantly reliable product support services has been provided from Adtran.

Support through the web

They manufacture routers and switches as well as legacy but still needed telecom hardware such as multiplexers , CSU/DSU, for ISP and enterprise sized networks. They surely use web based remote control software but it is the nature of their hardware such as Internet facing routers that enables them to also connect in with SSH, Telnet, or a web browser. They can login to the router and have remote control of the command line ot they can use a web browser to connect through the web with a user interface that permits access and control for configuration changes or updates.
